What are the dates for the I.C.E. Exchange?
The 2021 I.C.E. Exchange will take place in person at the Renaissance Nashville Hotel November 15-18, 2021. Pre-conference workshops will be hosted on Monday, November 15, with the general conference kicking off Tuesday, November 16. I.C.E. is providing an option for those who are unable to travel to attend select in-person sessions virtually. See below for more details.
Where can I find COVID-19-related information?
As of August 24, our health and safety policy requires all in-person attendees, speakers, exhibitors and support staff, to:
- Be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and provide proof of vaccination or receive a negative COVID-19 test result within three (3) days of Monday, November 15, 2021
- Wear a face mask indoors during the full duration of the I.C.E. Exchange, with the exception of removing face masks while actively eating or drinking
- Follow I.C.E’s policies regarding social distancing and personal protection. These policies might evolve over time as new data becomes available. We will keep you informed of any changes to attendee expectations.
- Evaluate your health each morning before committing to joining the day’s activities.

The health and safety of the I.C.E. attendees remains our top priority as we return to in-person events. . I.C.E. is continually evaluating health and safety guidance. Our website will continue to be updated with more information between now and the conference dates with specific information on social distancing, mask mandates, and other relevant information.
Will there be an option for me to attend the 2021 I.C.E. Exchange virtually?
I.C.E. is committed to hosting the 2021 Exchange safely in Nashville this November. We hope you are able to join us in-person. However, in consideration of those not able to travel, we are also hosting an option for virtual participation of the in-person event. As a virtual attendee, you can attend select sessions from the I.C.E. Exchange and chat via Zoom with other virtual attendees. There will also be opportunities for networking.
Unlike the 2020 I.C.E. Exchange, sessions will be hosted only on Zoom and will not be found on a full separate platform. The Zoom chat and Q&A will be moderated by an I.C.E. staff person, as the speaker will not be responding to questions or comments in the chat directly.

What are the different registration types?

Registration is open for both the in-person event and virtual component.
What is the cancellation policy?
I.C.E. must receive all cancellations in writing by Tuesday, October 26, 2021. Please email cancellation requests to registration@credentialingexcellence.org. All refunds will be processed after the meeting and will be assessed a $100 administrative fee. Substitutions are accepted by contacting our registration team, but can only be credited toward the 2021 I.C.E. Exchange. All sales are final after Tuesday, October 26, 2021. This cancellation policy applies to both in-person and virtual participation of the Exchange
Can I transfer my registration to someone else?
Yes, please email registration@credentialingexcellence.org to request a substitution.
I am registered to attend the Exchange in-person in Nashville, but I can no longer travel due to COVID-19 company travel policies. Can I attend the in-person event virtually?
Yes, if you are no longer able to attend in-person, we encourage you to explore our virtual component to still access select sessions at the conference. You will not be charged an administrative fee for making this switch. Instead, you will receive a refund for the difference in registration fee cost. Please email registration@credentialingexcellence.org for more information.
Where do I pick up my registration badge?
Registration self-check-in stations will be set in the Event Hub Lobby on the Lobby Level of the Renaissance Nashville Hotel. We encourage all attendees to come to registration early to pick up their badge to avoid any long lines.
Will I.C.E. have an info or help desk?
Throughout the conference, attendees can stop by the registration desk or I.C.E. Booth on the Lobby Level of the hotel if they have any questions.
How do I ask questions if I am attending the virtual component of the I.C.E. Exchange?
Individuals who elect to participate virtually will receive a daily e-mail with the day’s events and a contact for questions. An I.C.E. staff member will be present in the Zoom room of each session to help navigate any technical issues. If you are unable to live stream a desired session, you will have access to the recording after the event. During the live stream, questions will be submitted in the Zoom chat for the I.C.E. staff member to ask the speaker in the room
Transportation and Lodging
What is the closest airport to the hotel?
The Nashville International Airport is 8.4 miles away from the main conference hotel. Transportation between the airport and Renaissance Nashville Marriott costs approximately $25.
How do I book my room?
Starting in 2021, registration is equired in order to book a room at the Renaissance Nashville Hotel. Be sure to register and book your hotel before October 25th to reserve your spot at the headquarter hotel.
Where can I park my car?
Valet parking is available at the Renaissance Nashville Hotel for $52 USD daily. In addition, there is a daily parking garage located across the street from the hotel. Information is provided on our hotel and travel page.
What can I do during free time?
Downtown Nashville has a lot to offer outside the hotel. We encourage attendees to visit our Things to Do page to learn more about what to see and do in Music City.

Where is the Innovation Hall?
The Innovation Hall will be in the Grand Ballroom on the Lobby Level of the Renaissance Nashville Hotel, next to the registration desk.

I am exhibiting at the conference, how do I register?
Exhibitors can register for the conference using the same link as attendees. Please refer to the instructions you received from meetings@credentialingexcellence.org on how to redeem the allotted complimentary registrations, and email us if you’re unable to find the information you need.

Session Information
Where can I find an agenda for the conference?
The general schedule of the I.C.E. Exchange program can be found here. The detailed schedule can be found here. The mobile app will be available for in-person attendees 2 weeks prior to the event for you to begin building your schedule.
How do I sign up for sessions that I want to attend?
Pre-registration is only required for the pre-conference workshops. All general and concurrent sessions during the I.C.E. Exchange are available to all full in-person conference attendees. For those attending virtually, the general sessions and two concurrent sessions per session block will be live-streamed (learn more here). Live streamed sessions will be recorded and made available after the event to view for 3 months post-event
How do I submit CE/CU credits?
I.C.E. issues digital badges to recognize and award conference attendees a few days after the event.
- Half-day Workshop Only: 3 credit hours
- 2 Half-day Workshops Only: 6 credit hours
- Full Conference: 11 credit hours
- Full Conference + 1 Half-Day Workshop: 14 credit hours
- Full Conference + 2 Half-day Workshops: 17 credit hours
- One-day only, Tuesday or Wednesday: 4.5 credit hours
- One-day only, Thursday: 2 credit hours
- Virtual Participation: 11 credit hours
