Gauging Test Security Effectiveness: A Case Study in Measuring Test Security Initiatives

Track: Security, Records and Data Management

Session Number: 6136
Date: Tue, Nov 19th, 2019
Time: 3:30 PM - 4:30 PM

You work hard to put test security measures in place. But, how do you know if these measures are really working? Join us as a medical credentialing program discusses its test security journey of measuring the effectiveness of its test security initiatives. Surveying candidates, educators, and diplomates, the National Board of Examiners of Optometry will discuss how it determined how well its systemically-applied test security measures deterred candidate misconduct, detected test taker maleficence, and mitigated invalid test results.  The findings of the surveys will be discussed, as well as other suggested practices for determining credentialing program test security effectiveness.
