Auditing Your Certification Program: Maintaining Compliance with Industry or Accreditation Standard
Track: Standards and Accreditation
Maintaining compliance with industry or accreditation standards can help ensure that your certification program is recognized as meeting governance and psychometric expectations. Whether you are trying to improve the overall quality and reputation of your certification program or are trying to obtain third party accreditation, there are steps you can take to help identify and address issues that might be hindering you in your processes. Engaging in a formative evaluation on components of your program or conducting a comprehensive compliance audit can help your organization identify those issues that present opportunities for improvement or better align with standards. This session will provide information about how to design a formative evaluation or compliance audit that would be applicable for industry standards, NCCA, or ISO 17024:2012 accreditation. Presenters will describe the participants, processes, and expected outcomes of these types of activities with examples from two organizations that engaged in different types of evaluations or audits to illustrate the different activities, motivations, and uses of the results for each.
