Connecting with your certificants: Value of engagement

: Engaging current and future certificants to “buy in” to the value of certification can be a challenge for certification organizations. Engagement is the key to instilling the future and current certificant with the value proposition that once certified, they are now a part of “a community of certificants”. This presentation will focus on methods to engage future, current,and past certificants utilizing a multilayer approach. Effective communication coupled with meaningful recognition will be highlighted. Strategies include targeted communication methods such as e-media platforms and traditional paper methods and people driven interactions with loyal and engaged communities via staff members, chapters, social networking, and live events. Ongoing meaningful recognition and support for individuals who are certified including initial and yearly certification recognition, hospital based and chapter events, as well as multiple programs and events at the annual national meeting (educational sessions, certification resource center, and Certification Celebration).
