Each year, the government pays for tens of thousands of credentials for military service members and veterans making them a prime candidate pool for credentialing agencies. Learn how to promote credentialing of these deserving individuals through discussion of best practices to assess/recognize military training and experience and improve access to credential exams. Engage in a dialogue about the challenges, successes, and opportunities identified in The American Legion’s recent “State of Credentialing of Service Members and Veterans” report.

Lisa Lutz is a leading researcher in the field and works closely with federal agencies as well as certification and licensing agencies. Sara Appel's work with MCMC to facilitate state licensure of service members has included state licensing agencies and academia. John Kamin represents a well-established Veterans Service Organization. Sue Jackson represents a test provider.
